About the Mixer/Former/Weigh-Up Worker Role:

The Mixer/Former/Weigh-Up Team Member is very physical and requires you to be able to lift boxes and bags weighing up to 20-30 kgs as an occupational job requirement.

As a Mixer/Former/Weigh-Up Team Member, you follow recipes and procedures and use industrial mixing equipment in order to complete the following duties:

  • Accurately reading, writing and checking production guidelines, specification sheets, task sheets, and recipes to produce high-quality protein and granola bars
  • Weigh-up raw ingredients, and load industrial mixers with raw ingredients as per specifications
  • Taking mixed dough out of industrial mixers and feeding dough through a hopper to extrude dough onto production line
  • Attending to packaging, equipment and utensil cleaning, and other machine operating duties as assigned

About You:

  • Energetic personality, physically fit, with good manual dexterity and have an ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to accurately read, write, and check documents.
  • Able to lift boxes and bag weighing up to 20kg-30kg.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift and reach for long periods of time.
  • Previous food production work considered an asset but not necessary.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should be able to understand and respond to basic, English instructions.
  • Highly flexible, with good interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work afternoon shift: 5:30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
